Description
n this piece I tried to capture the magnificence of the Medieval capital of Bulgaria - Tsarevets. There is more fantasy than history in the picture but this is how I imagine it. Some propoprtins are exaggerated.Tsarevets was the capital of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom, center of arts, religion, and state. It was first established in 1185 but reached it's peak of greatness during the 1230's. It was captured in 1393 by the invading Ottomans after a siege, then destroyed.
